Game of Thrones Studios

July 21, 2024

While siting in Hawaii, I saw a Facebook ad for Game of Thrones Studios, and immediately started planning how to get there. I am such a huge fan of the show, and I absolutely love learning about movie magic. I visited Harry Potter Studios in London, and Hobbiton & Weta Workshop in New Zealand, I loved it so much that I could go back again. Game of Thrones Studios was no less awesome.

I saved this activity for last because I knew that it would be the best - and it was. It was so awesome that I don't want to ruin it for anyone by posting too many pictures or videos. Please go see it for yourself so you can have that spine tingling jaw dropping experience of seeing the sets, costumes, props and of course the actual throne! Words just can't describe it.

It was a thrill to be able to walk through the set of Castle Black, Winterfell, The House of Black and White, Dragonstone, King's Landing and so many more.

The entrance into the studio might just be the coolest thing ever (not pictured). Seriously, well done.

The staff is great. They come up and share little tidbits about various things you wouldn't find out anywhere else, and they are happy to take your picture.

They couldn't make it easier to get there. Game of Thrones Studios is located in Banbridge. When purchasing an admission ticket online, you can also buy roundtrip transportation. They provide timed buses from Belfast and Dublin. You can also have lunch there which is handy. There's a restaurant and bar about half way through the studio.

There are opportunities to take fun photos with different Game of Thrones digital backgrounds.

The tour was timed just perfectly. I was checking out at the gift shop when it was time to go. They make announcements so you won't miss your ride. Pick up and drop off is at the same place.

I hope you can visit!
